What is a favorite compliment you have received on your writing?
That readers can see parts of themselves in my characters and the stories get them through difficult times.

How is Emma similar to or different from you?
I think we are similar because we both left behind our families and some of the things expected of us to create a new home in the world. We're different because I figured out my life a lot quicker and without a horrible cheating ex-husband—a fact for which I'm grateful!

If Wildflower Season were made into a TV series, who would you cast in the lead roles?
Emma would be played by Alexandra Daddario from the Percy Jackson movies and Cam would be played by David Gandy. I do use real life people (mostly actors) as inspiration and you can see more on Pinterest.

What is the last movie you saw that you would recommend?
My hubby and I watched I Care A Lot on Netflix—it was odd and twisty and a great escape.

What is something you learned about yourself during the pandemic?
Having a schedule saves my sanity. When my normal one got blown up by all the changes, I created one in the new reality. It helped to ground me and keep me moving forward on goals.

What is your favorite thing about summertime?
Early, early morning for getting up and puttering in the yard and having a drink on the patio as the sun sets behind the mountain.
