Vincennes, Indiana is the best small town I’ve visited.
I grew up and lived in Checotah, Oklahoma. It is the best in my mind. We lived really close to the park and a small grocery store. My brother and I could walk to school. Everyone knew everyone. My best friends lived right next door in our neighborhood. There was a vacant lot where we could play baseball. My btother and I rode our bikes all over town collecting pop bottles for candy money. There were great fishing holes nearby where my family fished.
I visited Alaska with my father (it was a cruise he always wanted to go on). there were a few small towns we saw --one being Haines and another Sitka. They are not big. They were beautiful. But the main thing is that is a memory that is a good one and my father has since passed it is a memory to treasure.
These small towns sound wonderful. They are so charming and appealing. When I visit one which is special I remember the visit since it is unforgettable. In Southern Ontario where I used to go on vacation there were many small towns but Owen Sound was lovely and stole my heart.
I grew up in the big city of Toronto. For the last 35+ years I have lived in a small town an hour outside the city. I love it and would never move to a big city again. Unfortunately this town is growing. I wish they would stop.
We enjoyed going to Wimberly in the Texas Hill Country when I was a child. It was a nice small town at that time.

I lived near a town called RISE AND SHINE. It was pretty.
I lived in a small town a couple blocks off the lake for 13 years, but after I lost my husband to Cancer four years ago I sold out house and went back to my hometown of Chicago when I love the big city life. Thanks for your generosity. Linda May
