Two by Two by Nicholas Sparks

Grand Central Publishing has TWO copies to give away!

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sparks returns with an emotionally powerful story of unconditional love, its challenges, its risks and most of all, its rewards.

At 32, Russell Green has it all: a stunning wife, a lovable six year-old daughter, a successful career as an advertising executive and an expansive home in Charlotte. He is living the dream, and his marriage to the bewitching Vivian is the center of that. But underneath the shiny surface of this perfect existence, fault lines are beginning to appear...and no one is more surprised than Russ when he finds every aspect of the life he took for granted turned upside down. In a matter of months, Russ finds himself without a job or wife, caring for his young daughter while struggling to adapt to a new and baffling reality. Throwing himself into the wilderness of single parenting, Russ embarks on a journey at once terrifying and rewarding-one that will test his abilities and his emotional resources beyond anything he ever imagined.

  3. You know me, the new Nicholas Sparks books stands out to me the most. But I also love anything Anita Hughes writes and want to read her next book.

  4. The book sounds interesting. The little girl seems pulled between the parents. She honestly sounds a little bratty. The father seems to care for her a lot. You can tell the gender roles are reversed. London needs to realize that Barbie can work and Daddy can stay home!

  5. What stood out to me is the role reversal. The father is home taking care of his daughter while the mother works. It's getting to be more common.

  6. I noticed the NC setting and the tension between the parents. Looks like a great book

  7. The struggles of the family roles being reversed and toll it's taking on the little girl is very evident.

  8. Intuitive little girl has picked up on the struggles and comments in the family. Dad is being pulled in a lot of different directions and feeling like he can't do anything well. Mom is suddenly feeling powerful. Poor little girl is feeling deserted buy mom. Sounds like a good story. I'd love to read more.

  13. The interaction between the father and daughter and the roles.

  14. Just like with other Sparks' books, it's the North Carolina setting that lures me in first.

  15. Sounds like a good story of family roles and struggles. I've never read this author's work, but I would love to have the opportunity.

  16. 'For the next half hour, I flipped through the channels, finding nothing whatsoever to watch. More than a hundred channels and zippo' How many of us do this, when we know we won't hit on anything we actually want to watch. Only using it as a distraction
