Book Review: Fractured

I am always intrigued by time travel and whenever it is featured in a chick lit novel, I am more than eager to get my hands on that book! Fractured, by Dani Atkins, stood out to me in this way, as it has a different spin on the concept, giving it a Sliding Doors feel.

All I really need to say right now is that I loved this book and you should get it and read it from start to finish in one sitting! However, I will gladly explain why. I felt the time travel aspect was creative and well done. I'd think things were happening one way, and then something would happen to change all that. There were little surprises throughout the story to make the reader believe that Rachel isn't crazy after all. The dialogue and interactions are excellent and it is easy to see which characters and relationships to root for. Dani's use of description made the story come alive in front of my eyes. The romantic aspect made my heart flutter. I was captivated the entire time and then completely blown away, left reeling afterward.

I have no constructive feedback to offer, as I liked everything about Fractured. I still can't believe it was a debut novel, as it was so strongly written. Dani was so invested in her characters and the plot, allowing readers to do the same. It would make an awesome movie, but the only casting I could come up with is that Lily Collins has to play Rachel. Anyone else can be unknown or relatively new actors and actresses. I highly recommend this novel and hope you will get a chance to read it soon!
