I see great things happening for Chick Lit in the future. I feel like the more women or men know about chick lit, the happier everyone will be. Chick Lit makes you feel good inside after reading a Chick Lit book. It makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you mad (certain situations). The stories Chick Lit authors create as well as the characters, makes you feel like you know each and every single individual. I feel like I'm right there next to the characters. I love the feeling of reading Chick Lit books. I can't wait to see what others will say! :)

I didn't know what it was until a couple years ago. I love this genre and see more and more fans as time goes by. They are such interesting books to read. I think most women can relate to the stories in one way or another. Chick lit isn't going anywhere any time soon. Why do I think that? Because it seems like we've been having this same general conversation for a few years. We all know how awesome chick lit is! I think that we might see a bit of a resurgence in chick lit, like it used to be many years ago. Indie/self published authors are helping bring the awesomeness that is chick lit to the forefront, I think. I also think the stories themselves might change a little bit. Maybe slightly less "finding a man" and a little bit more "finding myself". Who really knows what will happen? I, for one, am excited to see what comes next for our favourite genre!

Congrats CLC on getting 1000 followers! If any blog deserves it, it's this one. I seriously enjoy reading this blog, the reviews are excellent and very helpful when deciding which book would interest me most. So, I raise a glass (more likely a mug of coffee) to everyone there at CLC, creators and contributors alike!
ReplyDeleteI see chick lit growing a wider fan base in the future. I also see more and more women becoming empowered; as their favorite character in chick lit novels are, and standing up for themselves and being more comfortable being themselves, whomever they may be. I don't see an end to the chick lit genre - more of an awakening - and thank goodness because there are many fans that would miss it, including me!
