Introduction and interview
by Tracey Meyers
**Giveaway is now closed**
Picture it! Our main character is at a local hangout watching her frenemy getting all snuggly with her main squeeze. In the background Natalie Merchant’s song “Jealousy” plays... “Is she bright? So well-read. Are there novels by her bed?...Ooo, my jealousy.”
Ok, I can’t say for sure that actually happens in Rose McClelland’s second novel, “How to Look Like You,” but what I can say for sure is that this book does explore the topic of jealousy and what someone will do to get “the person of their dreams”. In addition to writing fiction novels, Rose has also written a short play (which was directed by Rawlife Theatre Company and performed in The Black Box Theatre, Belfast), writes book reviews for Judging Covers and writes theatre reviews and author interviews for her blog. When she isn't writing, Rose can be found engaging in reading, dancing, and attending yoga, amongst many activities. Oh, and don't forget her newest love...cooking, as well!
We’re so happy to have Rose joining us today on CLC. In honor of the occasion, Rose would like to give away TWO e-books of "How to Look Like You" to readers located anywhere in the world!
To learn more about Rose, visit her at Facebook, Twitter and her blog!
Favorite song as a teenager?
"The Only Way is Up" – Yazz
What song reminds you of Chick Lit?
"You’ve got the Love" – Florence & the Machine
What song best describes your life?
Katy Perry - "Firework"
Best concert you've ever seen:
Elbow – When they played the song "Mirrorball," they had spotlights glittering all around the ceiling. It was magical.
Favorite type of music to dance to:
I love The Black-eyed Peas. Chirpy, happy and has a fun beat to it.
A song you think is silly:
"Barbie Girl" – Aqua
Favorite movie theme song:
“I’ve had the time of my life” – Dirty Dancing – Feel-good factor galore!
In your opinion, what makes a song great?
For "fast" songs, they need to be dancey, happy and have a good beat.
For "slow" songs; beautiful, melodic, dreamy.
Special thanks to Rose for visiting with us and sharing her book with our readers.

I saw Elton John and Billy Joel in concert together and it was PHENOMENAL!!! Also, tied for best concert was when I went to see Ringo Starr and His All Star Band play at Billy Bob's Texas in Ft. Worth. That was PHENOMENAL as well!!!

The best concert I ever saw was Ben Folds with the city's orchestra. It was AMAZING! Now, whenever I listen to his stuff, I remember how it was live ... it's one I'll remember forever.

I have been to a few that I would consider to be the best. Elton John, Celine Dion and my very first concert, Woodstock 1998.

I've never been to a concert. I'm not a fan of crowds and loud noise but maybe one day I'll go to have the experience.

Best concert was the NKOTBSB show last summer, hands down! Although Duran Duran a few years ago is a close second.

1. Gee, this is a tough one. Going to concerts is one of my favorite things to do so I've been to more than I count, ranging from NKOTB to Kiss to Michael Buble to Puff Daddy. All genres! But if I have to choose one, I'm going to say Elton John (saw him on his own and again with Billy Joel and they were both amazing concerts!).

My best concert was a collaboration between Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Willy Nelson and Chrissie Hynde. Sat in a field glass of wine in hand while they blasted out fab country tunes. :-)

Lovely post! Best concert: sometime in the late sixies: Round House, Chalk Farm. Melanie followed by Pink Floyd. I was 18ish. Not on drugs - coz you didn't have to be - you just breathed in!!
Red Hot Chilis and Queens of the Stoneage at Slane amazing stuff.

The best concert I have ever been to was New Kids on the Block in June of 2009. They only get better with age. There is just something about the energy at one of their shows. Absolutely AMAZING. Not very many bands can make you feel like a kid and an adult at the same time. Words can't even describe. :)

Garth Brooks. Even if you hate country music, he is one of the best performers I've seen.

I've only been to 2 concerts, so out of those (George Michael or Dave Matthews Band), I'd have to go with Dave Matthews Band. That was about 16 years ago, and I still love their songs!
