I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting the wonderful, and quite hysterical, Susan McCorkindale who is here with us today. Since then, we have had the opportunity to get together a few more times. She also visited CLC back in August to talk about "500 Acres and No Place to Hide" (reviewed here) and is back now to share her favorite winter holiday "recipe." (Melissa A. and I especially like this idea for Christmas. ;) )

My favorite holiday recipe calls for one take-out menu from my favorite Chinese food place, a phone, a wad of cash "borrowed" from my kids' Christmas stockings, and a car to go pick the order up. Throw in a heaping helping of shocked looks on the faces of my mother and brothers (who always expect lasagna), two screams of happiness from my sons (who are always relieved when I don't cook and don't care if I dip into their "stash" to cover their chicken and broccoli in brown sauce, spring rolls, and extra orders of crispy noodles), and a stack of holiday-themed paper goods and plastic utensils, (which means not only am I not chopping or mixing or pureeing and quite possibly poisoning my family, I don't have to do dishes either), and my Christmas dinner is served, Suzy style!
