The authors aren't the only ones answering questions about what they find funny. All of us at CLC are doing it too! Here are associate reviewer Gail Allison's answers!

"Bright Lights Big Ass" by Jen Lancaster
Funniest book character?
Bridget Jones
Favorite comedy film?
"The Wedding Singer"

Funniest quirk you had as a child?
I liked to put rocks in my mouth. When we went camping, my parents had to choose a designated eating rock and wash it off for me, so I wouldn't run around putting all the filthy ones into my mouth.
Funniest thing you heard a kid say?
"Aunty Gail...your house is like the fanciest restaurant", after I made macaroni and cheese with chopped up hotdogs and raspberry tea for my cousin's daughter for dinner one evening when she was visiting my place.
Funniest thing that happened to you recently?
I went to a restaurant that I declared to be the best first date restaurant ever. Not only was the eatery located inside a hotel (in case the date went well), but the exit and the washrooms were through the same door (in case the date didn't go so well).
Funniest misunderstanding?
When I was younger, my sister had a stuffed dog that she named "Vicious Brute". Only when she was whispering the name she'd finally come up with to me one night in our room, I heard "Mrs. Sproo". The dog has been named Mrs. Sproo ever since.
Strangest thing you find funny?
I'm a big fan of combining multiple words to make new words. Oddly, I'm usually the only one who gets these hilarious combinations.

"Mmmmmmonkeys." From Darby Conley's "Get Fuzzy" cartoons and shared with my excellent friend Tannis.

Chandler Bing, Friends
Favorite joke?
What do vegetarian zombies eat? Graaaaaaains

I LOVE "The Wedding Singer" so much I've actually purchased 3 DVDs forgetting I already purchased it. And "Dodgeball" ... don't get me started ... Thanks for sharing!
Gail has a great sense of humor! I'm thrilled that Gail loves "Get Fuzzy" by Darby Conley. It's mine and my husband's favorite cartoon!
Mmmmmonkeys are an obsession of Bucky the cats!
